How It Is Enabled
Private interoperability among various WiMAX infrastructure pieces is done using the following setup, equipment and tools.

  • WINS, the WiChorus Network Simulator, is a custom-designed, end-to-end WiMAX simulation engine and test tool, compliant with WiMAX Forum NWG and IEEE802.16-2005 specifications. WINS can create large-scale end-to-end WiMAX network environment with mobility, as per NWG specifications. Selected components of the environment can be replaced with real equipment to be tested.  It can also act as a protocol-sniffing and recording tool for interoperability testing and analysis.  WINS is provided to the One Open WiMAX ecosystem by WiChorus.

  • Interoperability test documents complaint with WiMAX Forum NWG specifications are exchanged between the participating companies prior to testing.

  • Interoperability lab with all the end-to-end CSN and ASN components: Interoperability testing for all the components require a lab to build a complete end-to-end WiMAX environment. WiChorus has hosted an advanced lab for this purpose.
