The Mobile Internet Gateway is a unique solution that offers all of the functions needed for the WiMAX core on a single platform. This provides operators a convenient, feature-rich solution for deploying smaller Mobile WiMAX networks. Functions include ASN Gateway, Home Agent, AAA server, DHCP-based addressing, peer-to-peer traffic management, advanced charging and lawful intercept. The Mobile Internet Gateway also offers operators a smooth migration path as they grow their networks. Operators have the option of migrating to dedicated components for greater subscriber and throughput capacity, while retaining their investment in the SmartCore platform, which can be used as a standalone Intelligent ASN Gateway or Home Agent.
