NextWave Wireless and WiChorus partner to Deliver operators complete WiMAX Infrastructure Solutions for Enhanced Performance and Revenue Capabilities Las Vegas, April 2, 2008 – NextWave Wireless Inc. (NASDAQ: WAVE), a global provider of mobile multimedia and wireless broadband technologies, and WiChorus, a provider of intelligent wireless core solutions, today announced a joint agreement to provide a powerful end-to-end WiMAX infrastructure solution for operators that integrates WiChorus’ world class Intelligent ASN Gateway and Home Agent solutions with NextWave’s leading WiMAX base station products. WiChorus will also add support for NextWave’s MXtv technology. Together, the integrated technologies offer operators a best-in-class WiMAX infrastructure solution for enhanced network performance, and provide operators with the ability to deliver innovative services such as mobile TV and multimedia for increased revenue opportunities. As part of the joint agreement NextWave will bundle their WiMAX base stations with WiChorus ASN Gateways and Home Agents enabling operators to purchase a complete end-to-end WiMAX solution. Benefits for operators include the advanced accounting and charging, content-based service differentiation, peer-to-peer traffic management and network optimization capabilities of the WiChorus product line. These capabilities combined with NextWave’s Macro, Micro and Pico network infrastructure products which feature intercell interference mitigation and broadcast TV capabilities provide wireless operators with the world-class performance, scalability, and flexibility they require while significantly reducing upfront network deployment and ongoing operational costs.
